Outpatient alcohol treatment that fits your life
- PHP — full-day structured care with clinical and medical integration
- IOP — several sessions a week, designed around work, school, or parenting
- IIP — a fully individualized plan for complex needs (private/cash-pay option)
Every level includes individual therapy, group sessions, psychiatric support, and case management, using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, plus EMDR for trauma.
Do I need to detox first?
For some people, stopping alcohol requires medically supervised detox first. We don’t provide detox on-site — but if you need it, we can help point you to the right next step, and then you can begin outpatient treatment with us right after. Not sure? Call us and we’ll help you figure out the safest path.
Why Totality for alcohol recovery
Whole-person care: certified EMDR/trauma therapists, psychiatric medication management, on-site TMS, family coaching, and support with housing, employment, and legal aid. We believe relapse is part of the story — not the end — and we build recovery that lasts.
Does insurance cover alcohol rehab?
Usually, yes. We’re in-network with both HMO and PPO plans from Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, Optum (UnitedHealthcare), and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We also accept some out-of-network PPO plans, such as Aetna PPO. Some individual plans have exclusions, so we verify your exact benefits before treatment begins — free and with no obligation. (Our IIP program is available as a private/cash-pay option.)
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer alcohol detox?
No — we provide outpatient alcohol treatment (PHP and IOP). If you need detox first, we’ll help you find the right next step, then continue your care with us.
Is outpatient enough for alcohol addiction?
For many people, yes — especially with dual-diagnosis care for the underlying mental health drivers. We assess the right level for you.
